SYSPRO Executive Summary
The goal of a solid Enterprise Information System is to transform data into information that facilitates decision-making. The SYSPRO suite provides several tools to achieve this.
Standard Reports
Standard reports in various modules are extensive, providing the user with several filters and sequence choices to selectively choose data.
Custom Report Writing
Custom reports may be designed using the SYSPRO Report Writer module or Seagate Crystal Reports. Each provides the user with the capability to design reports to address specific needs. The SYSPRO Report Writer offers an interesting benefit: a report's result can be written into the SYSPRO database as a transaction (e.g. calculating a salesperson's commissions and writing these back as AP invoice transactions.
Financial Report Writing
SYSPRO provides a financial report writer directly in the General Ledger, which provides for unlimited user-defined F/S using a combination of data for months, quarters, years, budgets, etc. In addition, an add-on product called F9 can be used to provide a dynamic link between SYSPRO's database and MS Excel. This add-on gives simultaneous access to multiple companies, supports drilldown analysis of summary amounts, and creates/edits budgets, which can be written back to SYSPRO's database. Financial reports can then be formatted using Excel's many presentation features.
Historical Sales Reporting
SYSPRO offers a Sales Analysis module that captures sales data from invoicing functions. The resulting data can be presented in various views or reports including: by customer, customer group, item, category, territory, salesperson, date, etc.
Graphic Query and Reporting
Crystal Reports and BrioQuery are tools capable of accessing any SYSPRO database. As well as presenting data in report writing tabular format, they can display selections of data in two-dimensional pivot tables or three-dimensional graphs.
