SYSPRO Financial Suite

The Financial Suite provides the foundation to the Information System. The strengths of the financial modules (System Manager, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cashbook) are:

Multi-Period Processing
The General Ledger maintains up to 99 years of detailed and/or summary history, meaning postings can be made into any of the months in any of the years with complete balance forward integrity in all subsequent periods. All sub-ledgers are able to post into the current period or two previous periods, including reprinting of prior period sub-ledger reports. This ensures month-end processing can be carried out without interrupting or regular day-to-day operations.

Flexible Account Structure
Users can create alphanumeric account numbers as long as 15 characters, and as many segments to represent cost centers, departments, divisions, product lines, etc. All standard reports and financial statements may be filtered by any two of these segments in order to produce divisional statements.

Multi-Currency Support
The SYSPRO solution supports entry, import and posting in an unlimited number of currencies. Sub-ledgers and General Ledger also maintain the source and home value of each transaction, so inquiries and reports can be viewed in both currencies. Accounts Receivable amounts can be viewed in source currency while making collection calls, but printed in home currency to provide an AR listing for user's bank.

Flexible Processing
The Financial Suite provides multiple transaction processing methods, including importing entries, recurring entries, application of a single cash receipt across multiple customers, user selection or system selection (and subsequent user modification) of invoices to pay, and more.

Inter-Module Drilldown
SYSPRO allows the user, for example, to drill down from General Ledger transaction detail to Accounts Payable invoice distribution, to original Purchase Order. Also, the inventory query provides single point access to all activity on an item code from current status, to engineering makeup, to open transactions, to historical transactions and more. This expedites account analysis for accounting.

True Bank Reconciliation
Cashbook is updated real-time with each cash flow transaction generated by Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll, providing up-to-the-minute cash balance for each bank account. Bank reconciliation is then prepared on-screen rather than manual matching of transactions. Cashbook also provides processes for reversing deposits or cheques and reactivating invoices in the originating sub-ledger.

Centralized Tax Reporting
Tax Setup provides flexible setup of GST and QST to meet all combinations of item, supplier and customer taxability. The setup is used at the transaction level throughout all modules, and the resulting taxes collected and taxes paid are fed back to the General Ledger for centralized and timely tax reporting.
